More On Psalm 85

Intro: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." ~ Matthew 4:4 God is speaking. He speaks. His words are food to us. Psalm 85:8 "I will hear what God the Lord will speak" This is present tense - speaking. Not what He spoke yesterday. It is what He is speaking now. It is what He speaks today, in this time, this hour... "I will hear" There is a choosing for us. A choice we make, to hear or not. To pay Him mind, or to let His voice be crowded out by the din all around us. His words are seeds, they will fall on prepared ground in us or other kinds of ground in us. See the parable of the sower and remember, God's word CAN be taken over within us by the cares of this world. Literally, choked out. Yet, what will God speak to us when we come to Him in a willingness to hear. Do we first of all not recognize that it is the Holy Spirit that brought us to this place... No one comes to

Gettin' In The Love Bubble

This is the silliest posting I may ever share, but I've already been called "crazy", so why not? In fact, an old friend of mine, whom I have not seen in years, who recently met Jesus flat out told me that he always believed I was "crazy", but now he knows why... And I never felt so complimented before! For if I shall take my stand, I shall do it for love-- crazy love, downright mind-blowing, stupid to others, get in it or be left behind, the give-it-all-up-for-love kinda' love! I've seen two videos recently that have impacted my prayer life, links below. One of them was about being baptized in God's love for us, and the other was about hearing God's voice and seeing in the Holy Spirit for our own lives, the eyes of our understanding being opened... You go ahead and watch those and see what they say to you... But for me, I got caught up into a vision about my life and it was a vision with levels to it, a dreamlike scene that prog

Psalm 82: Flowing With God's Judgements PART 1

Intro:  Before I am cast off into damnation for mentioning "judgement", let me define the word, as used in this Psalm... God "judges", which in Hebrew means that He "judges" (yes)  "decides, leads, defends, and vindicates". This Hebrew word "sapat" has an extensive meaning that includes "to execute judgement, to be brought to trial" and "to argue a matter". Depending on which side of the cross you are on will determine what kind of judgement you receive from God. If you have accepted your need for a Savior and have recognized Jesus is the Savior that God sent for you, You know that God's judgement was that you needed His Salvation. :) So by the judgement of God that came to pass through His Son, Jesus, we know God's judgement is good, true and worth knowing, Agree? And - for those of us who have accepted God's judgement against us and our sin, and received His untold mercy to save us,  T
