THE STRENGTH OF MY CALLING

We are called to be as Jesus is. I speak to the believer on Jesus, who knows some scripture on the matters I will touch on here. I just want to share... What shoes we have to fill, what a walk we are called to, what a placement we are in, to be born into such a high calling! What can compare to this calling? It is higher than us! It is broader than us! It is realer than us, realer than anything we have ever known! We did not author it and we cannot control it. In fact, we have no way to figure it out, except by walking with the Holy Spirit sent to us. How then shall we fulfill this calling? Jesus said what's flesh is flesh and what's spirit is spirit. So there is an elemental category of what things are. Remember the law in the old testament, how there were physical elements that had meaning, and God called His people to participate in celebrations of miracles past, such as the crossing of the Red Sea, known as Passover. They did pass over. And then the celebrati...

VISITATION!

Ephesians 3:17 "And He (Jesus) came and preached peace to you who were afar off." Psalm 85:8 "I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints." Ephesians 3:14 "He is our peace..." Frightful times are about us, the manifestations of men's hearts and wills, the breaking down of expected social norms with various injustices. We see a storm of wills, emotions, words, and retaliations, over and over. Or far worse. This is the word that came to me yesterday morning, and I saw this word in caps, "VISITATION". There is a promise I am sensing of an event scheduled from heaven, an entrance of the presencing of our Lord Jesus Christ, tangibly, even an undeniable visitation of Him is imminent! (And I know I'm not the only one sensing this!) By this I do mean parousia, the appearances of Jesus for our behalf, full of purpose for us! The tangible presencing of Himself to us! Study that gree...

The Winepress of the Lord --Observations about and from His winepress; emphasis on the press.

The scriptural plain of reference to help with understanding ~ 1.) Psalm 75 - Father God is Judge and chooses whom (what, how) He exalts and also He puts down. In particular verses 6-10 concerning exaltation coming from Him and the cup of wine in the Lord's wine in His hand.     2.) Jesus' parable regarding Eye of A Needle, a city gate that you had to unload your baggage to get through. Therefore, regarding reduction in the way we are called to go, from Matthew 19:24. 3.) Isaiah 64:8, "But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter." (NKJV)     4.) Jesus' parables about new wineskins needed for new wine. Matthew 9:17, Mark 2:22, and Luke 5:37-39. And the purification of wine being poured into containers to allow for leeds to settle. 5.) The refining of silver as indicated to us in Psalm 66:10. And also in Zechariah 13:9 prophesying of those who are to come who will walk with God. And Hebrews 12:28, because our God is a consuming fire. ...

Thou Art My Hope

We are promised by Jesus, "he that loses his life for My sake, shall find it." Matthew 10:39. For those who may read this that are new believers, studying scriptures in the light of truth found in one or two verses would be a good way to begin... That is, if you will commit your heart and mind to the Lord to teach you, God will be faithful to lead you in the scripture and speak to you what you need to know, daily. In fact, He will show you your need for His truth over and over as you walk with Him, as He does with all of us. The basis of what I am sharing can be found in the principle or doctrine known in Hebrews 6:1 as "repentance from dead works". Since this is football season, let me open with a punt and get this ball in play for you here : God weakens us, or rather, shows us our neediness. This is part of walking with Him. For Jesus promises us a yoke. See Matthew 11:28-30. We must be led into or taken into His yoke to walk with Him. We may think ...

Softening

“This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.” John 1:7 Referring to John himself, John said that “he came for a witness…” (NKJV) or he came to “bear witness” (KJ). The Strongest Strongs Concordance shows in this verse that the word Witness is really the combination of the two words in the KJ - “bear witness” #3140 The word is martyreo - and means “to testify”.   Through John’s life people saw The Light. Through that testimony. Have you ever seen a child clean their room where they take everything and push it to the side and make an aisle to get to their bed, dresser, closet, etc, and they say to you, “It’s clean”? That is how we are with the Lord. We are cleaned up enough to function better, sometimes just enough, and then we consider the rest “clean”. So much repenting is called for in the walk we have with Love Himself. We are drawn to want more love, to need more care, to depend more expensively on Him....

TREASURE

Matthew 6:20,21 "...lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Your heart is where your treasure is. Laying up treasures in heaven - Your heart will be in or on Heaven. These are those who have their minds on heavenly things. 1 Corinthians 15:48. And who shall bear the image of the heavenly Man, Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:49 This means we have been born of a the second Adam. Born again. 1 Peter 1:3-21 verses 3-4 "Blessed be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again TO a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, TO an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that doesn't fade away, reserved IN HEAVEN FOR YOU." Our hope is a living hope. It is alive in us! It is a part of our birthing, for we went from hopele...
