Thou Art My Hope

We are promised by Jesus, "he that loses his life for My sake, shall find it." Matthew 10:39. For those who may read this that are new believers, studying scriptures in the light of truth found in one or two verses would be a good way to begin... That is, if you will commit your heart and mind to the Lord to teach you, God will be faithful to lead you in the scripture and speak to you what you need to know, daily. In fact, He will show you your need for His truth over and over as you walk with Him, as He does with all of us. The basis of what I am sharing can be found in the principle or doctrine known in Hebrews 6:1 as "repentance from dead works". Since this is football season, let me open with a punt and get this ball in play for you here : God weakens us, or rather, shows us our neediness. This is part of walking with Him. For Jesus promises us a yoke. See Matthew 11:28-30. We must be led into or taken into His yoke to walk with Him. We may think ...

Softening

“This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.” John 1:7 Referring to John himself, John said that “he came for a witness…” (NKJV) or he came to “bear witness” (KJ). The Strongest Strongs Concordance shows in this verse that the word Witness is really the combination of the two words in the KJ - “bear witness” #3140 The word is martyreo - and means “to testify”.   Through John’s life people saw The Light. Through that testimony. Have you ever seen a child clean their room where they take everything and push it to the side and make an aisle to get to their bed, dresser, closet, etc, and they say to you, “It’s clean”? That is how we are with the Lord. We are cleaned up enough to function better, sometimes just enough, and then we consider the rest “clean”. So much repenting is called for in the walk we have with Love Himself. We are drawn to want more love, to need more care, to depend more expensively on Him....

GOD IS NOT A FAILURE

You. Your life. God wants you to know... Your parents may have failed you BUT GOD IS NOT A FAILURE Your children may have failed you BUT GOD IS NOT A FAILURE Your husband or wife may have failed you BUT GOD IS NOT A FAILURE Your expectations, your life may have failed you BUT GOD IS NOT A FAILURE Your government may have failed you Your business, your company, your boss may have failed you Your friends even may have failed you BUT GOD IS NOT A FAILURE. God sits on His throne which means HE OCCUPIES His throne. The rulership of all things is His throne and He fills it justly, with justice. He sees and knows all things that pertain to you, that are hidden that pertain to everyone, And He is so awesome and spectacular in His make up that He knows just what to do. GOD IS NOT A FAILURE. Because He loves you, YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE. Because He made you, He can re-make you, and He knows what He plans for you. He sees the finished product - the YOU He has designed in the fullest expression of L...

TREASURE

Matthew 6:20,21 "...lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Your heart is where your treasure is. Laying up treasures in heaven - Your heart will be in or on Heaven. These are those who have their minds on heavenly things. 1 Corinthians 15:48. And who shall bear the image of the heavenly Man, Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:49 This means we have been born of a the second Adam. Born again. 1 Peter 1:3-21 verses 3-4 "Blessed be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again TO a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, TO an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that doesn't fade away, reserved IN HEAVEN FOR YOU." Our hope is a living hope. It is alive in us! It is a part of our birthing, for we went from hopele...

It's Personal

We are called to marriage. Did you know that? The marriage of The Lamb to The Bride (Revelation 19:9). Jesus speaks of the marriage supper (e.g.: Matthew 22) ... and John the Baptist spoke of how he was Jesus' best man (John 3:29). We have a picture of marriage in Genesis, but we are called to the marriage that Jesus speaks of in John 17, that He and We (the corporate we) may be ONE. Jesus said He and the Father are One. And Jesus prayed that we may all be One with Himself and with His and our Father. To be clear, I am using the capital letter "O" just to signify importance. But it is easy to see that this can seem like other teachings that are out, in the world, those other words attempting to make all religions one. Jesus did not pray for the entire world to be One with Him and the Father. But He prayed for those that the Father would give Him, and for those He already had as His. And so we see that He prayed for Us. You and me. This is personal fo...

Psalm 82: Flowing With God's Judgements PART II

For the bit more experienced in the Word of God, or the hungry -- maybe to see if they want more experience. (Not for everybody. Yet. That's ok.) With all the hype and talk about what has happened in our great country, I have decided to continue to try to "put to pen" the little piece of truth in my heart; something that God keeps speaking to me. My heart on this is to write towards one goal:  That we hear and follow Jesus, our Head, and rely ON Him, instead of and not on our own faulty understandings. For we without Him, we can do nothing... Nothing that is of His will, that counts as / produces good fruit / hits the mark that He is aiming us to hit. And He is aiming us... We are in this world, but not of this world. We are designed to be like God, created in His image, created with a need for dependence on Him. We were severely brought low (destitute) and completely separated from God by sin, (Gen 3) which entered the heart of man genetically, death and striving and a...
